The Specialist, Digital Distribution role is an integral part of the central Video on Demand (VOD) Content Management team, within the Digital Product Group. 


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Distribution, he/she is responsible for supporting the distribution of Bell Media's large volume of VOD content assets to our many cable and satellite partners' platforms. 


He / She will be required to track and coordinate the movement of video, metadata, artwork and other elements through various workflows, out to internal and external platforms, work accurately within multiple databases, and help serve stakeholders across several Bell Media departments while managing business and inventory requirements as needed.


The role requires superior organizational and communication skills, a lean-in approach to problem solving, and some knowledge of digital video processes including licensing and rights, and content metadata creation. A general familiarity with the TV industry is preferred.  Extreme accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel required. 


Database management skills are a plus.


Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Build, curate and schedule new content assets
  • Provide central Content Management support for programming and technical teams
  • Work with image specs, liaise with our Creative Agency, upload and maintain images in the CMS
  • Support the operational workflows required to publish digital VOD
  • Publish VOD to internal platforms
  • Liaise with various department stakeholders including Marketing, Programming, and Technical Operations
  • Receipt of and distribution of weekly VOD schedules
  • Reporting as-needed
  • Product support for all in-market VOD offerings



  • 2 years in Digital media publishing or VOD Operations, or very strong recent graduate with superior accuracy and organizational skills
  • Exceptional knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience developing inventories and databases
  • Strong communication skills. PowerPoint presentation skills preferred,
  • Experience with program license rights and obligations
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, and drive efficient workflows without formal authority
  • Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Bachelor Degree in related field
  • Must be able to work in high-energy, team environment and adapt quickly to fast-changing situations
  • Must be a self starter




Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
