Bell is seeking an events professional to join our team. As a Specialist, National Events you will report to the Senior Manager, National Events. You will be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day management and execution of your events portfolio.


The National Events team serves as a center of excellence and resource for the organization to leverage. We deliver innovative programs encompassing all aspects of event planning, with a focus on best in class experiences tied to the business objectives of the partner. This entry-level position is part of the larger corporate marketing team that leads Bell’s corporate marketing, sponsorship, hosting programs.


Job Duties/Accountabilities

  • Execute events with flawless precision that drive brand and business unit value reinforcing our marketplace leadership position
  • Delivery of and execution your event portfolio. Including: strategic event design, event logistics, proposals, AV, F&B, travel, event staff, production, post event evaluations and budget
  • Consult, educate and support the business units so that they can meet their business objectives during and throughout the event process
  • Recommend innovative, effective alternatives to events where appropriate
  • Budget forecasting, management and reconciliation



  • Minimum of 3 plus years experience in  event planning within a corporate setting and or agency
  • Proven track record in the development and execution of complex multi-faceted  corporate events
  • Experience in managing external contracts, vendor and supplier relationship as it relates to events
  • Must possess exceptional organization skills
  • Disciplined approach to planning, flawless execution combined with speed and accuracy
  • Project scoping, exploration, planning, sourcing
  • Event execution
  • Objective setting and port mortem, ROI follow up
  • Negotiation, problem-solving and customer service skill
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage several projects in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Organized team-player with ability to work collaboratively under pressure
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite


Additional Qualifications/Competencies

  • Post-diploma education in event management, sponsorship, CMP designation
  • Previous event management, sponsorship experience working on or in telecommunications industry is a plus


Job Specific Expectations

  • Given the nature of the role you can expect to work evenings, weekends and to travel to attend onsite events.
  • You can expect to travel 20% of your time.
