The Content team is seeking a highly analytical Specialist to help lead subscriber  forecasting and analysis for across many content initiatives.    


Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Content Business Planning, the ideal candidate has financial, strategy, forecasting, planning and reporting experience. In an ever-changing and dynamic environment, they need to be flexible, have strong time management and be capable of balancing many projects simultaneously with short deadlines for completion.  They are detail oriented, strategic and analytical with the ability to communicate effectively to senior executives. This high performing person needs to have demonstrated success with influencing identifying business issues, opportunities and emerging trends.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop sophisticated models to identify and evaluate key trends and opportunities within the content business
  • Evaluate, comprehend and interpret data and present it in a logical, straight-forward manner
  • Support strategy and distribution negotiations with key subscriber insights and recommendations
  • Assist in annual business planning and quarterly outlooks
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity; investigating potential issues and providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Presentations to senior executives on results and forecasted revenues


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, statistics/math, marketing or a related area; MBA or professional designation preferred
  • 3-5 years experience with business cases, financial models and/or forecasting models,
  • Very strong analytical, mathematical, problem solving, and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication  both written and verbal
  • Ability to build compelling, executive-level presentations and to deliver recommendations with confidence
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of data
  • Strong ability to work cross- teams and influence decision-making at various levels of the organization
  • Self-starter, with the ability to manage and drive projects with limited supervision and to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
  • Demonstrated coaching/mentoring 
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office applications – PowerPoint,  Excel, Access as well as SQL, SAS

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Previous experience in broadcasting, CPG or investment banking industries
  • Fluency in both official languages would be considered an asset


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
