The Bell Residential & Small Business (BRSB) team is in the business of enabling customers and businesses to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace. The team provides customers with Bell phone, Bell Internet, Bell Connected Home, Bell Satellite TV and Bell Fibe TV.


The BRSB Channel Compensation Team oversees for the overall strategy and payment of commissions for all Bell Residential Services. As the Specialist, Channel Compensation Strategy & Payments, the successful candidate will develop and execute compensation strategy, manage the compensation budget, prime compensation projects & payments for the team. This position reports to the Senior Manager – BRS Channel Compensation.



  • Act as point of contact for Bell Residential & Small Business compensation, provide  insights when required
  • Build business cases for commission rates for all lines of business to help drive quality selling behaviour, activations & ARPU for Bell
  • Development & execution of management Sales Bonus plans
  • Presenting business cases to Bell executives and external vendors
  • Participate in compensation negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with various sales teams to align sales strategy with compensation
  • Work with Finance team to guide in tracking performance over budget and forecasts
  • Assist leader and team specialists with setting fair commissions for various transactions
  • Providing valuable feedback on compensation structure, found through audit, to reduce incoming inquiries


Critical Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as a compensation specialist
  • Ability to use data to guide in decision-making
  • Candidate must have experience building business cases and proposing recommendations
  • Ability to build effective presentations with PowerPoint
  • The individual must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Duties are to be completed in an efficient and professional manner at all times 
  • Excellent attention to accuracy and detail and ability to interpret legal contracts
  • Organized team-player with ability to work well under time pressure, meet tight deadlines and deal effectively under stress
  • Personable and client service skills
  • Pro-active with ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Word


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
