Key Responsibilities

  • Code and distribute invoices for approval through SAP 
  • Complete payroll for full-time and freelance staff according to corporate policy 
  • Process approved vacation requests in SAP Media Pulse system and reconcile balances
  • Process and track absences for freelance and full-time staff
  • Assist with travel arrangements and follow up to ensure all necessary documents in relevant portal
  • Assist with HR processes for full-time and freelance documentation and approvals
  • Facilitate and update freelance employment contracts
  • Understand corporate holiday policies and keep current on changes to properly administer records
  • Support news units with organizing and tracking sales sponsorships, and subscriptions for newsroom
  • Order office supplies 
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an administrative environment
  • Knowledge of SAP, MediaPulse (Xtech) or equivalent payroll system
  • Experience in, and strong knowledge of, news and/or media production
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work for multiple leaders
  • Superior writing and communication skills
  • Respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt work processes accordingly
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage time constraints
  • Must be fully computer literate in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a demanding work environment
