Responsibilities:

The Media Manager will work within the Digital Product Group and be responsible for the ongoing management of cross-platform digital video content for the Bell Media brands. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, the ideal candidate will have a passion for television on the Internet and be comfortable in both technical and creative editorial environments.

 

The role requires direct experience with content metadata, production workflows, and taxonomy. Strong organizational and communication skills, including some team training elements, are also required. A broad knowledge of digital and broadcast video processes, and general familiarity with Broadcast and Telecommunications industry is expected. Experience with any Video CMS is an asset.

  • Manage both Content and Process across diverse Production environments
  • Support and troubleshoot the operational workflows required to publish digital video
  • Identify workflow efficiencies and solutions
  • Provide central support for Bell Media programming and technical teams
  • Source and distribute content, imagery and schedules across internal products and external partners
  • Communicate with various department stakeholders across Bell Media including Brands, Programming, and Technical Operations
  • Participate in in the creation of video platform strategy and product definition
  • Maintain a thorough and on-going knowledge of the competitive landscape, especially competitive initiatives that may impact Bell Media's broader video strategy

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as Content Manager or Producer
  • 2+ years experience in digital media publishing operations
  • Bachelor or College degree in a related program
  • Exceptionally organized, self-motivated with proven problem solving skills
  • Experience with Content Management Systems and methodology
  • Experience in a Digital Production environment
  • Strong communication and training skills, including presentation creation and delivery
  • Experience with program license rights and obligations
  • French-language skills are an asset
