Job Summary


The telecommunications technician is primarily responsible for ensuring the planning, installation, configuration, maintenance and upkeep of equipment in central offices.




• Plans and documents the execution of the company's large-scale technological work. Create and/or execute the required engineering documents

• Ensures the installation, configuration and continuous maintenance of various equipment/software for television and Internet as well as the IT infrastructure (network, server, storage, firewall). Corrects abnormal situations and diagnoses the causes of breakdowns

• Create, manages and follow various monitoring platforms. Create action plans based on results

• Maintains a stable and secure infrastructure based on company policies. Plans and monitors updates based on manufacturer's recommendations

• Provides technical coaching for other employees


Holder profile


• DEC or Bachelor in electronics or in IT

• 5 to 10 years of experience in related technologies

• High level of knowledge of digital technologies, analog, IP, RF and optical data transmission

• Be available to respond to emergency calls in the evenings and weekends​​​​​​

• Bilingualism:

  • French, fluent in the language
  • English, working ability to carry out normal business in the language




• Have a sense of organization, commitment, autonomy; initiative

• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

• Ability to work in emergency situations

• Strong analyzing skill

• Strong skills in time management

•Creative and technical skills

• Have a commitment to quality and a keen interest to improve

Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
