Summary

Astral is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join our Vancouver sales team. This pivotal role focuses on cultivating, hunting, and developing new business, specifically for our Vancouver Digital and Static Transit Shelter Ads. The successful candidate will serve as a key ambassador for these premium advertising products, engaging with local Vancouver businesses (both B2B and B2C clients) to highlight their unique value proposition and drive revenue growth within the city of Vancouver.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify local prospects and develop new sales opportunities within the city of Vancouver market for Digital and Static Transit Shelter Ads.
  • Act as a dedicated ambassador for Astral’s street-level advertising products, understanding, and effectively communicating their premium features and benefits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, trade organizations, local events organizations, and decision-makers to year-round.
  • Must understand the city of Vancouver’s diverse neighbourhood dynamics, the locations of our inventory and demonstrate the ability to create media packages for prospects and clients.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and pitches, tailored to the specific needs and objectives of potential clients.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for transit shelter advertising revenue.
  • Stay abreast of local neighbourhood’s market trends, such as stores openings, events, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, creative) to ensure seamless campaign execution and client satisfaction.
  • Manage a sales pipeline, track activities, and report on progress using Salesforce.


 

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a sales role.
  • Experience with direct selling of local Out-of-Home media, advertising, or other related media, is a strong asset.
  • Knowledgeable about the city of Vancouver diverse neighborhoods audiences and traffic patterns.


 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Most importantly, a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Expertise in cold calling and prospecting new business.
  • Strong business development acumen with a track record of closing deals.
  • Excellent networking abilities and capacity to build professional relationships.
  • Deeply plugged in to the Vancouver community, with a strong understanding of local businesses, neighbourhoods and market dynamics.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
