Position: ENG Cameraperson, CTV Vancouver  

Location: Vancouver, BC

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, shift work required.  Additional overtime hours as needed.Responsibilities:



  • Provide excellent visual footage for CTV Vancouver news stories
  • Proficiently operate an ENG camera including lighting and sound equipment
  • Edit video and sound material on deadline for broadcast.
  • File news footage using various tools to the newsroom
  • Accountable for checking equipment before taking into field.  
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment, and for formally reporting any malfunctions of equipment to Engineering Department immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with electronic video shooting, lighting and sound techniques.
  • Knowledge of television production, ability to shoot sequences and to work in a team environment.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license required.   
  • Television Broadcasting diploma or equivalent experience will be considered a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of current events is essential.
  • Knowledge of fibre optic transmission systems.
  • Familiar with NPPA shooting styles
  • Interpersonal communication skills essential and ability to work collaboratively with field partners and in-studio assignment desk.
  • Proficient non-linear editing.
  • Ability to work different shifts including evenings and weekends


Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
