As a Retail Recruiter, the successful incumbents will be responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending exceptional candidates to our Hiring Manager clients for non-management positions and assisting with the roll-out of full-cycle recruitment across the Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for posting and sourcing for all vacancies in assigned client group.
- Conduct a high volume of resume, assessments and video interview screening.
- Leverage and maintain our applicant tracking system to source candidates.
- Facilitate in-person and Phone interviews with potential candidates before making recommendations for final interviews with the hiring manager(s).
- Create positive candidate experiences by delivering excellent ‘customer service’ in all candidate interactions, whether via email, Teams, phone or in person interviews.
- Coordinate job offers and new employee on-boarding, including the creation of offer letters, processing background checks and initiating the personnel files. Facilitate on-boarding check-ins for new hires to track progress.
- Actively source candidates through a variety of sourcing channels, including passive, resume mining, networking, scouting talent researching/initiating other channels to improve candidate quality as appropriate and/or maintain a healthy funnel of candidates for hard-to-fill markets.
- Educate, consult and transfer knowledge of recruitment best practices, including active candidate sourcing/ networking, diversity, interviewing skills and legislation to Hiring Managers throughout the interviewing process.
- Establish, build and manage effective partnerships with external vendors, employment services, local colleges and universities, participate in job fairs to educate students and the community.
- Attend bi-weekly team calls to share updates and best practices.
Skills we're looking for
- Prior experience in a retail sales or customer service environment required. Sales Associate and/or Assistant Store Manager experience with BCI considered an asset.
- 1-2 years of previous recruitment experience is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent (Business Management or Business Administration) is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills, combined with an excellent judge of character is essential.
- Results oriented, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); previous experience using an Applicant Tracking System an asset.
- Speak another language? We welcome any second language (French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Tagalog, Hindi, Punjabi, Thai, and more)
- Ability to travel within the assigned region to provide in-field recruitment support.
