We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans that help the company achieve its strategic objectives and ensure financial sustainability.  

BCE’s Deputy Controller and Planning team forms part of the overall corporate finance team reporting to Thierry Chaumont, SVP Controller and Tax. This team is comprised of Accounting Policies, Consolidation & Intercompany transactions, External Reporting and Planning & Reporting. The combined team produces monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and Management, Discussion & Analysis (MD&A).


The Consolidation team, as part of the Deputy Controller’s group, is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the BCE financial statements supporting both external and internal management reporting. The team forms an integral and central part of BCE’s overall finance reporting framework and works with a variety of finance groups and teams within BCE.


Job Duties/Accountabilities :

The main responsibilities include:

  • Assist and be integral with the team that consolidates and prepares the BCE financial statements
  • Perform review & validation of monthly financial statements and supporting analysis
  • Overall integrity of consolidated results and related intercompany transactions/balances
  • Supporting and assisting external reporting team including the preparation of the annual and quarterly reports
  • Preparation of various special purpose financial statements as well as special finance requests
  • Provide support to external audit team
  • Support on the calculation of complex transactions
  • Provide accounting support to various business divisions


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • CPA with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Strong knowledge of consolidation accounting
  • Bilingual
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Team player, dynamic and self-sufficient
  • Ability to supervise and work with virtual teams


Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of SAP & BPC Consolidation systems a bonus
  • Strong Excel skills






Bilingualism is required  (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
