The Network team plans, designs, builds and operates Bell’s multi-billion dollar networks, including the continued expansion of our fibre optic network, HSPA+ and LTE — Canada’s largest and fastest wireline and wireless network.

 

Name and description of hiring team

The Wireline & Wireless Supply Chain district, with employees in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia, New Foundland & Yukon works to cover the end-to-end supply chain including planning, sourcing, warehousing, distribution, performance standard measures and transportation.  We also work closely with our internal customers, and our external vendor community in providing the right products in a timely and complete fashion.

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Supply Chain (SAP Applications & Master Data), the selected candidate will act as a Master Data Specialist by supporting a non-management team in their day-to-day activities while ensuring they meet business needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support his team on a daily basis to meet customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Control and balance the workload of the master data team.
  • Establish best practices for master data management to facilitate day-to-day work.
  • Manage customer escalations
  • Ensure that documentation related to work procedures is kept up to date.
  • Develop or improve existing tools to optimize daily work.
  • Participate in different projects related to master data
  • Make sure that the master data team does all the work (Sku, Vendor, Contracts, PIR ....) within the deadlines prescribed during the different projects.
  • Provide support and recommendations to the different internal groups.

 

 

Critical Competencies

  • University degree in Computer Science or Management of production operation
  • Excellent operating SAP system knowledge (MM- Master data)
  • Knowledge of Winshuttle software is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (Advance)
  • Excellent knowledge of Outlook, MS Access, MS Project and Visio.
  • Business knowledge of internal Bell client groups (e.g. Provisioning, Network Operations, Field Services, Finance etc.)
  • Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement in day-to-day work and take appropriate actions
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with a strong attention to details
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated) to manage multiple projects/accountabilities
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Self-sufficiency and strong problem-solving skills
  • Quick learner able to deal well with stress
  • Spoken and written French and English is an asset

 

 

Preferred Competencies

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain concept
  • Ability to assess data from multiple sources, summarize and make recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with people at different organization levels (written and oral)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team focus, with ability to lead and work with immediate, extended and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to manage multiple and changing priorities in an unstructured and changing environment

 

 

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
