Position Description:

Bell Media has an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join our high performing CTV, KOOL FM and CFAX sales team.  Based out of our studios in Victoria, BC, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing a book of business for our television, radio and digital products.


Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Develop a Vancouver Island portfolio of local advertisers to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Provide business owners with creative, effective advertising and marketing solutions, acting as a resource to their business.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, strategic and solution-oriented proposals including appropriate research data.
  • Provide quality service with a focus on client retention through regular and systematic contact with active and potential advertisers.  
  • Developing new business through lead qualification, cold calling and in-person meetings.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings
  • Liaise with and create trusted working relationships with co-workers including Creative, Traffic and Accounting.
  • Facilitate the collection of overdue accounts.
  • Other duties as required


Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Passion for superior quality customer service, derived from ethic of “doing the right thing”. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with demonstrated success in negotiating and assisting clients.
  • Well-versed in consultative selling process. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure of constant deadlines. 
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in broadcast media sales is preferred, or a strong sales background with transferable skills.
  • Drivers’ licence, vehicle required.




Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
