Position: Ticker Producer (Part-Time)

Location: Winnipeg, MB

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Hours of work: 25 hours per week, additional hours and overtime as required

 

Responsabilities:

  • Update news content for on-line and on-air
  • Back-up producer for CTV News at Noon, CTV Morning Live, chase producer, CTV Morning Live writer and web reporter as necessary
  • Assist with the production of CTV News at Noon as required
  • Other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in broadcast journalism or a related program
  • Minimum 1 year experience writing for and producing television news content preferred
  • Knowledge of television production procedures, terminology and equipment capabilities
  • Strong writing and creative story telling abilities are a must
  • Solid knowledge of broadcast law is essential
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and productively in a changing environment requiring immediate decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to tight deadlines is critical
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
  • Accurate grammar, spelling and typing skills are essential

 

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
